Counselor Corner December 2025
This month, our Kindergarten and 1st grade students are learning about Honesty and Calming our Fears/Being Brave. Students are practicing how to tell the truth kindly and learning simple ways to feel brave - like taking deep breaths or talking to a trusted grown-up-when something feels a little scary.
At home: Ask your child, "Can you tell me about a time you were honest or brave today?" and celebate their courage together!
7 Habits of Healthy Kids Grades 2-5
Habit 3: Put First Things First. This month, our students are learning Habit 3: Put First Things First. This habit teaches us to take care of the most important things-like schoolwork, chores, ad helping others-before we play or relax. Students are practicing how to stay focused on what matters most.
At home: Invite your child to sort their after-school taks into "Must Do" and "Can Do Later" lists, and talk together about why some things need to come first.
6th Grade Leadership
Our 6th grade students are continuing their leadership lessons. This month they will focus on shared responsibility in teamwork, learning how every team member plays an important role, and critical thinking in problem solving, practicing how to think carefully and creatively to find the best solutions.
At home:
Invite your child to plan a small project at home, assigning roles and working together to solve any challenges that come up.
